Auralog President & CEO Nagi Sioufi accompanies French President Nicolas Sarkozy on State visit to Mexico.

Paris, France – March 16, 2009 Paris, on March 9, 2009 - Nagi Sioufi, President and CEO of Auralog, returns from accompanying Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy current French President and former EU President on a state visit to Mexico. The goal of the trip was to promote relations between the two countries and to celebrate transcontinental business, including the success Auralog’s TELL ME MORE® language learning has had in Mexico. This trip coincides with Auralog completing the implementation of a substantial contract recently awarded to Auralog from the Mexican Ministry of Education (Secretaría de Educación Pública, SEP) for TELL ME MORE® language. Under the multi-year contract, TELL ME MORE® Campus will be implemented in a multi-wave rollout to approximately 500,000 learners throughout the country studying English, Spanish, French, German, Italian or Dutch content online. Through Auralog’s exclusive partnership with Europe’s leading news broadcaster, EuroNews, learners will also have access to weekly current events language learning lessons featuring video footage from a recent broadcast.

The Mexican Ministry of Education is the governmental department responsible for education and culture in the country of Mexico. The Mexican education system is organized into four levels: preschool (K1–K3), compulsory basic education (grades 1–9), upper secondary education (grades 10–12), and higher education. Public schools serve 87 percent of all students in the country.

This project reinforces the many years of business success Auralog has had in Mexico with accomplishments including:

  • Signing major customers within the Education Market such as Universidad TecMilenio, Technologico de Monterrey, the EBC and the National Universidad Autonoma of Mexico City.
  • Signing major customers within the Business Market such as L’Oreal, Volkswagen, Telcel (operator of mobile telephony), Johnson Controls, Nestlé, and Nemak (world leader in aluminum smelting works).

This presidential trip is a wonderful opportunity to stimulate and promote our business activities in Mexico and to celebrate previous successes. The French President wishes to promote innovation and dynamic cross continental business opportunities. By assisting Mexican students to learn other languages and communicate within the global theater we are able to contribute to the growth of the country, its people and foster a stronger international business community.” Comments Nagi Sioufi, President and CEO of Auralog.

Currently economic relations between Mexico and France remains weak and the goal of this presidential trip was to help promote and stimulate economic relations between the two nations. France is the third largest foreign investor in Mexico (2006 French Ministry of the Foreign Trade figures) and with roughly three hundred (300) French companies conducting business in Mexico revenues of over ten (10) billion dollars are generated.
